What sizes do they fit?

How high do they go?
They're quarter-length: the top of the cuff sits just above the ankle bone. You can pull them up a little, but they won't go much higher. With sneakers, slippers or clogs you see the full cuff. With ankle boots, only a bit peeks out.
What shoes do they go with?

Aren't thick socks itchy?
No. There's no wool in them, and that's on purpose: wool itches, shrinks in the wash and costs twice as much. These are a thick polyester terry with a touch of spandex, smooth knit outside, plush loops inside. All the warmth of wool, none of the itch.
Do they leave marks or squeeze my ankles?
No. There's no sewn-in elastic band. The stretch is knitted right into the top of the cuff, wide and soft, so it stays up without digging in. No red lines, no pins and needles, nothing to loosen at the end of the day.
Are they actually warm, or just cute?
